Uncontrollable Laughter

There are only a handful of people in this world that can make me laugh so hard I cry. My sisters: Katie and Tammy, I remember numerous times growing up where we laughed so hard we cried. My best friend from middle/high school: Heather, whom I do not see enough. My sister in law: Katie. My favorite co-worker Krissi, and of course my husband and my kids. This last time it was my awesome daughter Gabby.


The other night Gabby was looking for something. I was busy trying to wrangle Nolan for a diaper change, so I told her to go ask Daddy. I already knew what she was looking for, and knew exactly how it was going to come out.

"Daddy? Where my other cock?"

{a pause}

"What?"

{a giggle on my end}

"Where my other COCK?"

{another pause, I'm cracking up at this point}

"Jill???"

Insert uncontrollable laughter from me. I'm laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my face, and have yet to change Nolans diaper.

Gabby decides at this point that Daddy can't help her, so she comes back to me. "Go, ask, Kody" I manage to say.

"Ok. Kody, where my other cock?"

Shocked face, pause...."your WHAT?" laughter, and walks away

"Urgh." says Gabby "My COCK!"

Ok....by now, I am seriously rolling on the floor, crying and having a hard time breathing. I think the funniest part is that niether of them could figure out what she was looking for.

Waterpark!

Last weekend we headed out of MN and into WI with the Johnson Family. Destination: Wisconsin Dells! We had a great time! The weather wasn't super warm, but we had a great time checking out the indoor water parks. We did play outdoors at one on Saturday, but the water was FREEZING! Apparently, it feels much colder to adults than children, as the kids were jumping in like it was a warm bath! This year we went to Chula Vista, Mt. Olympus and then went to a Deer Park on Sunday to pet and feed the deer. The kids all had fun doing that. Nolan loved the deer and put his hands right up to feed them and pet them. We had a great time, and can't wait to go back again!

Sweet Aubrey

This past Saturday Gabby got to babysit her favorite baby, Aubrey! She was very excited to have Aubrey over at our house and to help me take care of her. Nolan was also very interested in her and loved sitting by her on the floor. She is a great baby and we had a lot of fun watching her! Come again soon!

mommy?....

I put Gabby and Nolan to bed tonight like normal and shut the bedroom door. Gabby was slightly crabby tonight and started crying right away. I stayed upstairs for a little bit to listen to them and noticed that she had turned on the light. Then I heard her trying to open the door. (she has learned how to take off the knob cover and let herself out, however she only comes out in the morning when she gets up) So, I ducked into the bathroom to see what she would do. She opened the door, stepped out into the hallway and cried and cried. She stood there for about 30 seconds, then went back into the bedroom, shut the door, turned off the light and from the sounds of it, got into her bed. {giggles on my part here}

She was still crying a little and I heard her saying, "mommy?.....I want to lay with you. I just want you. I want to lay with you. mommy?"

She didn't cry long and is sleeping now. Such a sweet girl. Sleep good my babies, love you!

It's finally here!

SUMMER!!! And, just in time for the boys last day of school (which was on Friday). Our kids were ready to enjoy the weather bright and early Saturday morning. Gabby and Nolan wanted to go outside as soon as they got up. Bryan was watering some trees so they decided to play with the hose. We had to change clothes before we even had breakfast! :)

Later that day, Gabby decided she wanted to set up her pool.
